Located on Baa Atoll, Reethi Faru Resort is made up of villas, all of which are built with natural materials. Extremely welcoming to LGBT couples, this resort is an excellent choice for a first trip to the Maldives. The Maldives is one of our most popular gay honeymoon destinations. The Maldives’ crystal waters, white coral sands and coconut groves surround the resort. It’s an eco-friendly paradise that boasts all the luxuries you could desire.

The resort has its own outdoor pool and stretch of white sand beach. There are five different restaurants to choose from serving a range of different cuisines. You can also make use of the gym, spa, tennis and badminton courts. Diving expeditions can be arranged. The house reef is a great spot for a bit of snorkelling. You may even see sharks swimming by at the pavilion restaurant.

Despite having problematic laws concerning LGBTQ+ rights, the Maldives is one of Out Of Office’s most popular destinations. Due to the geography of the Maldives, each island is essentially run by the resort that occupies it. We work with an incredible selection of resorts, many of which have LGBTQ+ management, that are welcoming to the LGBTQ+ community.

There are 150 villas to choose from. You can opt for a garden villa, a family garden villa, a water villa or a beach villa. The villas are spacious and come with king-size beds, vaulted ceilings, a large outdoor bathroom and sun loungers on your own private deck. You’ll have satellite TV, a rainshower and ceiling fan. These villas are ideal for a fly and flop holiday – you needn’t leave the sunlounger. You can also enjoy an activity-packed holiday.

Things To Do

Marine Conservation

Artificial reefs have been built to replace the reefs that were damaged by coral bleaching. This involves gathering broken but live coral and attaching them to coral frames. They help to improve the existing coral reefs. Head to the marine gardens and see the process in action. A real highlight is the manta snorkel and/or dive trip – this is your chance to discover one of the greatest marine creatures of the Maldives: manta rays.

Water Sports Centre

One of the best of its kind in the Maldives, the Water Sports Centre is packed with activities. These include catamaran sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, kitesurfing and more.

You can also indulge at the Coconut Spa, enjoy a bit of island hopping, moonlight sailing and brave the waters at the Diving School. With the bluest waters on earth, the Maldives is unbeatable for watersports.

Things To Do

Food And Drink

Vakaru, the main restaurant, serves a buffet selection of international cuisine. The Dhiyavaru Restaurant is comprised of two tiers of decking floating over the lagoon. Experience classic Maldivian fine dining at the Huvandhu Garden on the beach, ideal for a romantic meal. For something more informal head to the Reethi Grill for open-air beach dining. The social hub of the resort is the Haruge Bar – head there at cocktail hour.
