Coffee In Colombia

Your private guide will meet you in the morning and show you around. You’ll explore Bogota’s oldest neighbourhood, La Candelaria, and see the work of contemporary artists at the Botero Museum.

A trip to the famous Gold Museum is a must. Here you’ll find great artefacts from the pre-conquest era.

Today you’ll be flying to the coffee region of Armenia. When you arrive at Armenia airport you’ll be transferred to your hotel.

Evening at leisure.

The city of Armenia is at the heart of Colombia’s coffee scene. Here you’ll find the best coffee in the country – some would say the world.

This morning you’ll be embarking on a tour of an organic coffee farm. You’ll learn about how coffee is produced and you’ll sample some of the best with an expert barista.

Curiously, coffee is the second most traded commodity on the planet – the number one spot goes to crude oil.

Today you’ll be exploring Cocora Valley. If you feel up to it, you can ride over rough terrain on horseback. Don’t worry, lunch will be provided. We recommend the smoked fish, always a winner in this region.

You’ll also have plenty of opportunities to try more of the excellent coffee.

You’ll be flying to Cartegena on the Caribbean coast of Colombia. When you arrive you’ll be transferred to your hotel.

Evening at leisure.

Today you’ll be taken on a guided tour of the walled city of Cartagena. In the old town you’ll see Plaza del Comercio and Plaza de Bolivar. All around you’ll see examples of Spanish colonial architecture juxtaposed with modern buildings.

You’ll also notice a lot of vibrant colours. People in Cartagena are not reticent to paint their homes in shock pink.

In the evening you’ll wine and dine at one of Cartagena’s best restaurants.

On your last full day you’ll be heading on a coffee tour of Cartagena. You’ll sample coffee in five different coffee shops. As the coffee here in strong you may need to round things off with an espresso martini.

Today you’ll be transferred to the airport for your return flight.
