Two private beaches, four pools, an Arnold Palmer golf course and five dining venues on Costa Rica’s Pacific Gold Coast, all within one of Latin America’s most celebrated resort properties.

Positioned at the tip of the exclusive Papagayo Peninsula, the Four Seasons here occupies a setting that has to be seen to be believed. Two golden-sand beaches flank the property on either side, four pools step down toward the Pacific, and 181 rooms, suites and private residences are finished in indigenous wood and stone, most with direct ocean or forest-canopy views.

The dining programme alone is amazing, with three distinct chefs to sample food from. Pesce handles Italian with local Pacific seafood, Bahia runs a wood-fired Latin grill, and Añejo covers tapas and crudos.

Beyond the property, the peninsula delivers endless activities. Surfing at Witch’s Rock, an Arnold Palmer-designed golf course, zip-lining through the canopy, and some of the best sport fishing on Costa Rica’s Pacific coast.

Virador Beach Club leans Mediterranean-Levantine, with Palapita, Pool & Beach, and La Reserva filling out the rest.

Wellness centers on the Wellness Shala, where multi-level yoga, sound baths, breathwork, and Reiki run alongside a deep spa menu.
