At a glance

A five-star beachfront resort on Mykonos’ quietest stretch of sand, with private pools, a clifftop spa, and dining that rivals anywhere on the island.

Above Elia Beach on Mykonos’ unhurried southern coast, the Myconian Imperial delivers serious five-star luxury well away from the island’s party crowds. Elia is the longest sandy beach on Mykonos, and the resort holds its own private section, a rarity at this end of the Aegean.

Suites and rooms come dressed in sun-bleached Cycladic style, many with private pools or hot tubs and wide sea views. The spa runs yoga retreats and full wellness programmes for those wanting more than a sun lounger.

Dining covers all bases: a seafood restaurant, sushi bar, buffet breakfast, and poolside lunches across the stay.

Spa and Wellness

The spa draws on thalassotherapy, Aegean sea air, and the island’s natural environment to deliver treatments that go well beyond the standard resort offering. Massages, facials, and restorative rituals sit alongside Pilates sessions, yoga retreats, meditation workshops, and one-to-one wellness coaching. Specialists tailor everything to individual needs, with outdoor and bespoke experiences available for those who want something more personal.

Services

Staying at the Myconian Imperial unlocks access to the wider Myconian Collection, a group of properties across Mykonos spanning design hotels, boutique retreats, and Relais and Chateaux members. On site, twin seawater pools, a swim-up bar, a swim spa, and a private section of Elia Beach cover the day. Boutiques, an events team, and sunset veranda dining round things out.

The destination

Greece

Greece sits at the southeastern tip of Europe, on the Mediterranean and Aegean coasts. The country covers a small mainland and around 6,000 islands, 200 of which are inhabited. The main island groups are the Cyclades (Mykonos, Santorini, Paros, and Naxos), the Ionian (Corfu, Kefalonia, and Zakynthos), and the Dodecanese (Rhodes, Symi), and Crete, which is large enough to be a destination on its own.

Mykonos is undoubtedly one of my favourite European destinations. The combination of luxury properties, cobbled streets with beautiful tavernas and also the beach is perfect.

I have been to Mykonos several times and love the combination of glamour and laid back vibes. I would recommend combining it with Santorini for a romantic trip.
