The Axel Barcelona is a chic, “straight-friendly” hotel in the heart of Eixample (also known as “Gayxample”). It’s surrounded by gay bars and great restaurants. The Macba museum of contemporary arts is just around the corner. Las Ramblas is also within easy walking distance. You’ll be in a prime location with all the action on your doorstep.

The hotel’s in-house restaurant, serving Japanese-Peruvian cuisine from breakfast through to dinner. The menu draws on the Nikkei culinary tradition that blends Japanese technique with Peruvian ingredients, with fish dishes a particular highlight. A full buffet breakfast is served daily and included in room rates.
Sky Bar
Sits on the rooftop with an outdoor pool, hot tub and views across the Barcelona skyline. Open day and night throughout the season, it hosts regular DJ performances, pool parties, art exhibitions and drag shows, and stays open into the early hours.

Wellness Club 33 is the hotel’s 500-square-metre Urban Spa, with a hammam, steam room, two saunas, a hydromassage pool.
