Soho House is one of the best hotels in Barcelona. The 18th-century building is located in Duc de Medinaceli square. It’s just a 10-minute walk from the bottom of Las Ramblas. The style calls to mind an English country house. On the roof terrace, you’ll be greeted with stunning views of Port Vell and the sea.
The first Soho House opened in London in 1995. There are 23 clubs around the world, some taking the form of hotels too. Soho House was designed as a social club for people in the creative industry. It’s ideal if you’re looking for something a little more stylish than the big chain hotels.

Spanish law has a number of protections for LGBTQ+ people that allow queer travellers to travel within the country with peace of mind and freedom. There are fantastic gay scenes in the cities of Madrid and Barcelona, and even the smaller destinations are very accepting.
Accommodation
Intimate and, as the name suggests, tiny. You can opt for a king-size bed or two single beds. The decor is warm – old school yet modern and homely. The Tiny Rooms are 21sq m.
All rooms have flat screen TVs, a free movie library and a walk-in rainforest shower.
At 23sq m, the Small Bedrooms are small but not tiny. They come with a small seating area. Some come with restricted view balconies.
At 42sq m, these rooms are large enough to fit a four person dining table and separate living area. Ideal for couples or decedent singles.

Cecconi’s
A grand yet reasonably priced restaurant serving classic Italian cuisine. Expect handmade pasta and a focus on Northern Italian dishes. They have outlets in London, Miami, Istanbul and Berlin.
You can also dine at House Kitchen on the member’s floor, dishes include local fare, burgers and steak. Head to the Green Room for a cocktail.
Further Information
The Cowshed spa has a pool, steam room and treatment rooms. You can also make the most of the hotel’s excellent gym. There is also a private cinema and a heated rooftop pool.
Guests of the hotel enjoy all the benefits of Soho House members. The member’s floor is a great place to hang out. It’s often frequented by celebrities.
