Located on an escarpment overlooking the Tarangire River and valley, Mpingo Ridge Lodge sits in Tarangire, the sixth-largest national park in Tanzania and a rich savanna landscape known for its elephant herds and vast baobab trees. It’s close to the park gate, so you won’t be too deep in the wilderness, making it a good choice for a first safari.
Lemala Nanyukie
Opened in 2018, Lemala Nanyukie sits in the eastern Serengeti, in the heart of a park that spans around 30,000 square kilometers. The camp is around 45 minutes from Seronera Airstrip, with tents arranged along a verdant savanna and shaded by acacia trees.
Lemala Ngorongoro Tented Camp
Set on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, this camp gives you direct access to one of the most concentrated wildlife environments in Africa without the crowds found at some of the larger crater-rim properties. It’s a favourite pairing with Mpingo Ridge or Nanyukie for a multi-camp itinerary across the Northern Circuit.
