At a glance
Glenross Living sits in the Kalutara Highlands near Neboda, on a former tea plantation surrounded by 90 acres of cinnamon, rubber and rainforest on the edges of the Sinharaja UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The main house dates from the nineteenth century and was built by Scottish colonial tea planters. Three colonial suites occupy the original building, while seven standalone pool villas sit in the grounds beyond. The whole property is available for exclusive hire.
The wellness programme here goes further than most. Classical hatha yoga teachers certified by Sadhguru Gurukulam lead sessions on site alongside Angampora, a traditional Sri Lankan martial art, and the kitchen is run by in-house nutritionists who design menus around each guest’s individual needs.

- 90 acres of grounds including cinnamon and rubber plantations
Accommodation
Cinnamon Pool Villa
The seven Pool Villas are freestanding glass and timber structures set within the grounds, each with a private plunge pool and views across the plantation landscape.
The design sits in contrast to the manor house, with a contemporary feel and open connection to the surrounding vegetation.
Admiral Suite
The Admiral Suites sit on the first floor of the manor house and share a central communal living space that converts into a private apartment when both are booked together, making them a good option for families or groups travelling together.
Manor House Suite
The three Manor House Suites occupy the ground floor of the 19th-century colonial building, with original period features including Georgian windows and stone walls, alongside a king-size bed and a separate living area. They have access to the full grounds and communal spaces throughout.

Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka is a tear-shaped island sitting off the southern tip of India in the Indian Ocean, separated from the mainland by the Palk Strait. It is small enough to cross by road in a few hours, yet varied enough to feel like several different countries within a single trip. The island has a population of around twenty-two million and a history of continuous civilization stretching back over two thousand years.
Our Experts
Sri Lanka is truly one of the most special places I've been lucky enough to visit. There's so much heritage and culture to discover on this small island nation - and the vistas are absolutely breathtaking.
Sri Lanka is the ideal place to pair with a trip to the Maldives, offering a dose of cultural stimulation following a sumptuous Maldivian escape. There's also a bounty of luxury properties in Sri Lanka.
Stellar service. Stellar products. Stellar people and it gets so much better when you pick up the phone and call.
