Switzerland is expensive by any conceivable metric. It’s practically made of money. Switzerland famously maintained peace, stability and neutrality for much of its history. It’s probably enjoyed a longer stretch of unbroken harmony than any other country. They seem to have things figured out in Switzerland in a way no other country has come close to. What’s the point of waging wars and having political chaos? Let’s all be rich and get on with our fabulous lives.
Naturally, you’ll find excellent transport links in Switzerland. It’s very easy to travel around. Swiss cuisine is also fabulous infusion of different European influences, a bit French, bit German and bit of everything else. Switzerland has four national languages: German, French, Italian and Romansh. Almost everyone speaks some English too. You’ll leave Switzerland thinking, why can’t everywhere be like this?
What To Do In Switzerland
Switzerland is most famous as a travel destination for skiing. Take a trip to the mighty Alps and try your luck on the slopes. There are many luxurious ski lodges to stay in, offering all the luxuries you could desire when you’re done your skiing for the day.
Zurich, Switzerland’s capital city, is more than just a shiny hub of banking. Lake Zürich wends its way through the city. You’ll find many of the city’s most attractive buildings in Altstadt, the old town. Bahnhofstrasse is the main shopping street, and as you can imagine, you’ll find many upmarket offerings.
