Then take the ferry to Mykonos. You will have several days to enjoy the island at your own pace, with time for its beaches, restaurants and gay nightlife, as well as a guided trip to Delos, one of the most important archaeological sites in Greece.
It works particularly well for LGBTQ+ travelers who want Mykonos to be part of a broader Greece vacation rather than the entire trip. Athens gives you the history and culture, while Mykonos brings the beach clubs, international gay crowd and late nights.

Day by day
This is a sample plan, not a fixed departure. Days can be added, removed or reordered, and almost every client changes something. Prices are an entry-level guide; your quote will be exact.
Day 1-2: Athens
Arrive in Athens, where a private transfer will take you from the airport to your hotel. The rest of the day is free, giving you time to settle in and start exploring at your own pace.
The following day is devoted to the city’s classical highlights. Your guided tour takes in the Panathenaic Stadium, the National Garden, Hadrian’s Arch, the Greek Parliament and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier before continuing to the Acropolis.
At the top, you’ll see the Propylea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and the Parthenon. Afterwards, visit the Acropolis Museum, where the archaeological remains beneath the building are as much part of the experience as the collections inside.
Day 3: Island Hopping
Today you head out onto the Saronic Gulf for a full-day cruise visiting Hydra, Poros and Aegina.
Hydra is the standout. There are no cars in the historic center, and the harbor is lined with stone mansions, cafés and narrow lanes climbing into the hills. You’ll have time to explore before continuing to Poros, where the waterfront faces across a narrow channel toward the Peloponnese.
Lunch is served on board as you continue to Aegina, with more time ashore and the option to visit one of the island’s ancient sites before returning to Athens in the late afternoon.
Day 4-7: Mykonos
After breakfast, transfer to the port and take the ferry to Mykonos. On arrival, a driver will meet you and take you to your hotel, with the rest of the day free.
One of the highlights of your stay is a guided half-day trip to Delos. Once one of the most important religious and political centers of the ancient Aegean, the island is now an extensive archaeological site. You’ll explore the remains of the Temples of Apollo, the Sanctuary of Artemis, the ancient city, the theater and the famous Terrace of the Lions, with time to visit the museum as well.
The rest of your time is yours to enjoy Mykonos properly. Head to Super Paradise for the beach, spend an afternoon at JackieO’, or keep things slower with time in Mykonos Town. This is the part of the trip where Greece shifts from archaeology to the island’s international gay summer scene, with enough free time built in to enjoy it on your own terms.
