A palatial 1913 villa, lovingly transformed into an ultra-contemporary aparthotel, The Levee is the epicenter of Tel Aviv’s trendy southwest and embodies the district’s creative spirit. The hotel’s facade is faithful to its original designers, and charmingly disguises the contemporary wonderland that hides inside.
Throughout The Levee’s neoclassical hallways, walls have been stripped back, a polished stone staircase plunges vertically through the building and raw wooden floors can be found in every room. The traditional reception has been traded for a clutter-free bureau and is simply decorated with a bouquet of carefully arranged flowers. Intended for more than an overnight stay, The Levee caters to the diverse day-to-day needs of its guests and each room features extended amenities such as a laundry nook and Netflix access. While there is no restaurant on site, a complimentary breakfast can be enjoyed daily at the impossibly cool Herzl 16 – just a few minutes walk away and located on a luscious tree-lined avenue.

Israel is a country where despite strong religious influence, LGBTQ+ individuals can live openly and freely. Although same-sex couples can not marry in Israel, the country was one of the first to recognise civil unions between same-sex couples and validates many LGBTQ+ marriages performed overseas. The country inherited anti-homosexuality laws from its British occupation, but formally repealed these in 1988.
