Inkaterra La Casona sits on Plaza de las Nazarenas in the San Blas district of Cusco, a 16th-century colonial manor house that stands on what was once the training ground for an elite Inca army.
After the Spanish conquest, it became one of the most significant addresses in colonial Peru, with Spanish Conquistador Diego de Almagro and Libertador Simón Bolívar among its historical guests.
Restored over five years by Inkaterra, it is now Cusco’s first five-star boutique hotel and a Relais & Châteaux member, with just 11 suites arranged around a central courtyard.
The Museum of Pre-Columbian Art is next door and the Cathedral is a ten-minute walk away.

The 11 suites are arranged around the central courtyard, each individually designed with colonial furniture, Pre-Columbian textiles and original murals. Dark wood sculpted panels, deep burgundy sofas and rich rugs run throughout.
Every suite has a fireplace, heated marble floors and a freestanding stone bathtub, along with a seating area, minibar, flat-screen TV with satellite channels and complimentary Wi-Fi.

Food & Drink
The dining room serves Peruvian cuisine built around fresh ingredients from the Andean region, with a complimentary buffet breakfast served each morning featuring regional products. Room service is available throughout the day.
The Tea Time experience, a highlight of the stay, features Inkaterra’s award-winning organic black tea alongside Andean snacks in the courtyard.
Drinks and cocktails are served in the courtyard throughout the day and evening.
Spa
The Yacu Therapy Room offers bespoke treatments using locally sourced products, combining ancient Andean traditions with contemporary wellness practices.
Treatments include aromatherapy, body scrubs, reflexology, deep-tissue massage and hot stone massage. The spa uses Inkaterra’s own range of products derived from Andean botanical ingredients.
