Further information

Dining

Four restaurants and a bar give the resort more dining variety than most properties on the island. Maere is the signature restaurant, led by a head chef with a frequently changing menu. Tipanier runs as a French bistro with a Polynesian influence, Te Ava covers poolside dining with lighter fresh fare, and Vara Vara is a laid-back beachside option for casual meals. Otemanu Bar faces the mountain directly for sundowners.

Wellness

Heavenly Spa by Westin and the WestinWORKOUT Fitness Studio anchor the wellness offering, alongside an infinity pool and private lagoon access for water sports. The Eco Centre, which cares for rescued and rehabilitating sea turtles on the property, adds a distinctive conservation element to the resort’s wider experience.

Location

The resort sits on the lagoon with direct views of Mount Otemanu, with overwater bungalows extending above the water and beachside villas set along the shoreline. Water sports are available from the private lagoon, and the overall setting puts the mountain view front and center from most points across the property.

The destination

Bora Bora

Bora Bora is a small volcanic island in French Polynesia, part of the Society Islands archipelago in the South Pacific. The island itself is around 12 square miles, ringed by a coral reef that creates the calm turquoise lagoon the destination is known for. Mount Otemanu rises 727 metres at the centre of the island.

The Ultimate French Polynesia Grand Tour

Tailor-made Holiday

Some destinations ask you to choose one experience over another; French Polynesia does not. This sixteen-day journey moves through five islands across two archipelagos, each with its own character and pace, connected by short inter-island flights, a scenic ferry crossing, and a private boat transfer. You will begin in Tahiti, the territory's cultural and geographic heart, before crossing the Sea of the Moon to Moorea, where jagged volcanic peaks rise directly behind the lagoon.

Bora Bora Snorkelling & Reef Trip

Tailor-made Holiday

Your journey begins on Mo'orea, where a turquoise lagoon shelters black tip reef sharks, turtles, and stingrays within easy reach of the shore. From there, you continue to Bora Bora, where Mount Otemanu rises over a lagoon best seen from a private catamaran, glass of champagne in hand. The route continues to Rangiroa, the second-largest atoll on Earth, where the pink-tinged sands of Vahituri catch the afternoon light.

Secluded Tahiti & Rangiroa Tour

Tailor-made Holiday

This itinerary moves through three of French Polynesia's quieter islands, each reached only by boat or short inter-island flight, and each rarely appearing on a first-time visitor's itinerary. It suits travellers who have already done Bora Bora, or who would rather skip it, in favour of a slower, less-photographed route through French Polynesia. The journey begins on Tahiti, where volcanic peaks meet a coastline still shaped by the island's original Polynesian settlements.
