Start in Beijing and explore this vibrant dynamic bustling city. You will visit the iconic great wall of China and the Forbidden city. Then head to Xian where you will visit the famous Terracotta Warriors and take a stroll through the city. The final stop on this trip is Shanghai where you will explore the old town and discover the colonial history, visit the silk museum and take a cruise down the Huangpu River. This trip allows you to explore three of China’s largest and most diverse cities.

In detail

Day 1: Beijing

You will arrive at the airport and will be met by your driver who will take you to your hotel where you will check in.

The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 1: Beijing

Day 2: Beijing

You will begin the day by walking through Tiananmen Square, which is one of the largest public squares in the world. On this walking tour you will pass Chairman Mao’s Mausoleum, the Monument to the People’s Heroes and the Great Hall of the People. You will eventually reach the Forbidden City, home of the Ming and Qing emperors for over 600 years. The city was forbidden to anyone who was not part of the Emperor’s court.

After lunch, enjoy some leisure time. In the evening you will be taken to to Houhai, one of Beijing’s popular nightlife areas for an evening at leisure. Houhai literally translates as ‘Back Lakes’ and the bars and restaurants here sit on the banks of the lakes.

Day 2: Beijing

Day 3: Beijing

Today you will be taken to China’s most iconic site, The Great Wall of China. The wall was originally built over 2,000 years ago and spreads from the Bohai Sea in the east to the Gobi Desert in the west. Enjoy a brief history of the wall before spending some time walking along it.

After this you will head to a local Jade Museum, where you will learn all about the jade making process and the opportunity to purchase a piece yourself if you choose. You will then take a stroll through the grounds of the Summer Palace which is a former holiday home of the Qing emperors.

In the evening you will head to Sanlitun which has several dining options for you to choose from.

Day 3: Beijing

Day 4: Beijing to Xian

It is an early start this morning as you will be heading to the Temple of Heaven which is where Ming and Qing emperors would pray for good luck and harvest. Here you will be given a  Tai Chai lesson. You will then head to the train station where you will be catching a super fast bullet train from Beijing to Xian.

You will be met at Xian station by your local guide who will then take you to your hotel where you will check in. In the evening you will enjoy a delicious Shui Jiao dumpling meal and watch a Tang Dynasty dancing and music show.

Day 4: Beijing to Xian

Day 5: Xian

Today you will lay your eyes on China’s very own historic terracotta warriors which were built over 2,000 years ago to protect the first emperor of China in the afterlife. Each warrior has its own distinct features, and there are also horses and chariots. After this, you will proceed to Xian Art Ceramics and Lacquer Exhibition, where you can see life-sized models of the warriors being made.

You will return to the centre of Xian where you will enjoy a cycle on the parameters of the Xian city wall.

In the evening you will head out to Defu Lane where there are many dining options for you to choose from.

Day 5: Xian

Day 6: Xian to Shanghai

Today you will be driven from your hotel to the airport where you will catch a flight to Shanghai. On Arrival you will be met by your local guide who will escort you to your hotel where you will check in. The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 6: Xian to Shanghai

Day 7: Shanghai

You will have a full day in Shanghai exploring it from top to bottom! Start your day in the tranquil Yu Garden to catch a few morning rays before heading into the bustling Old Town.

Next you will take a stroll along the colonial Bund, home to former European merchant houses and banks. Following this, you will visit a silk museum, where you will learn about the different types of silk and how they are made.

In the evening you will take a cruise down the beautiful Huangpu River followed by a final meal.

Day 7: Shanghai

Day 8

You will be transferred from your hotel to the airport where you will catch a flight to your next destination.
