Best For All-inclusive: Secrets Akumal
Secrets Akumal is a sprawling, luxury resort with some great all-inclusive offers. The resort has nine restaurants and three bars. The gourmet, a la carte food on offer is excellent. Sometimes all-inclusive can call to mind dreaded buffets, but you can expect a wide array of food and drink to choose from in your all-inclusive deal.
With 434 rooms and three huge swimming pools, Secrets has all the amenities you could imagine. All rooms have private balconies and sea views. You can upgrade to a suite with a wraparound balcony. Secrets is right in the heart of Riviera Maya and it’s hard to beat for all-inclusive.
Best For Weddings: Viceroy Riviera Maya
Riviera Maya is one of the few places you can have a full legal wedding abroad as a gay couple – without minimum residency limits, etc. One of our favourite hotels for gay weddings in Riviera Maya is the Viceroy Riviera Maya.
This luxurious resort sprawling along seven miles of pristine white-sand beaches. You can lose yourself in the gentle waves and sunny shores, ideal for relaxing, swimming, and snorkeling in the turquoise Caribbean waters.

Best For Style: Azulik in Tulum
If you’re looking for something a little difference, not to mention impeccably stylish, then Azulik is hard to beat. It’a an eco-friendly treehouse hotel located on Tulum’s coastline.
