May through November is Mauritius’s dry season and the most comfortable stretch for a honeymoon, with lower humidity and steady sunshine. May, June, September, and October are the sweet spot within that window, warm enough for beach days without the more humid heat of the summer months.

December through April is hotter and more humid, with the small risk of a cyclone between January and March, though direct hits are rare and resorts monitor forecasts closely. This period still draws plenty of honeymooners for its warmer water and lush, green landscape.

Mauritius decriminalized same-sex relationships in 2023 and has anti-discrimination protections covering sexual orientation, making it one of the more legally progressive destinations in Africa. How many days should we plan for a Mauritius honeymoon?
