Viceroy Los Cabos sits on the Sea of Cortez side of Baja California Sur, just outside the historic town of San José del Cabo. The resort was designed by Mexican architect Miguel Ángel Aragonés as a modernist piece, with striking white volumes connected by elevated walkways and water from the sea running directly underneath the property.
The pool program is the headline feature, with a cascading run of pools dropping from the lobby down to the beach. Cielomar, one of the few rooftop bars in Los Cabos with Sea of Cortez views, sits at the top of the building, and the resort runs six dining venues in total, from street-style tacos at Awacate to homestyle Mexican cooking at Casero.
The accommodation lineup runs from guestrooms through to casitas and villas, with Junior Suites coming with private plunge pools. The Spa, gym, an on-site cinema with a JBL audio system, and a strong slate of cultural experiences round out the offering.

Dining
The resort runs seven venues. Cielomar is the headline, a rooftop bar with rare Sea of Cortez views, and NIDO handles omakase with fresh seafood and Japanese cooking. Awacate is a colourful outdoor patio for Mexican kitchen-style cooking and street-style tacos, with Casero Restaurant covering homestyle mesa breakfasts and lunches. The Wine Room runs sommelier-led tastings of Mexican and international wines, while Nidito Beach + Poolside Bar and Otro Bar take care of poolside service and Mexican coffee and cocktails respectively.
Wellness
The Spa runs to 11,000 sqft across two floors, with vitality pools and thermal rooms set inside an interior grotto, ice fountains, experience showers, and a hydro-massage circuit running through varied temperatures and air-and-water elements. A beachfront NIDITO cabana handles outdoor treatments. The Gym next door is curated by celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak, with Hoist Roc-It strength kit, spin bikes, a circuit fitness room, and an indoor-outdoor layout for individual or group classes.
Location
The resort sits on Paseo Malecón San José in the Zona Hotelera of San José del Cabo, on the Sea of Cortez side of Baja California Sur. The historic town of San José is a short drive away for its art walk, restaurants, and cultural scene, and the area’s best golf courses are all within 20 minutes. Los Cabos International Airport is around 25 minutes by car.
