Quintessence Hotel sits on Long Bay on Anguilla’s north-west coast, one of the island’s most secluded beaches. Built over ten years by owner Geoffrey Fieger, it is Anguilla’s first Relais & Châteaux property, with nine suites spread across three floors of a building constructed stone by stone to a single vision. No children under 12 are permitted.
Fieger built the hotel around three things that remain central to the property today. The first is his international art collection, accumulated over decades and displayed throughout the hotel, with a dedicated gallery on site and original works in every suite.
The second is the wine cellar, which holds over 550 individual vintages including nearly 75 champagnes, with bottles sourced and labelled exclusively for Quintessence. The third is the kitchen, led by Chef Dominique Thevenet, a Lyon-born chef who has spent four decades working across France, the United States and the Caribbean and who has been at the centre of Anguilla’s reputation as the Culinary Capital of the Caribbean since the 1990s.

Accommodation
Garden Suites
Located on the main floor, individually designed with Versailles-patterned floors, vaulted cedar ceilings, local timber furniture and original works from Fieger’s art collection.
Each opens onto the tropical gardens and the beach beyond, with butler service and direct access to Long Bay beach throughout.
Oceanfront Suites
Sit on the upper floors looking directly over Long Bay, with Versailles-patterned floors, vaulted cedar ceilings and original art throughout.
Each has a private balcony, king bed, walk-in shower, soaking tub and butler service.
Penthouse Suite
Occupies the top floor with the most complete ocean views on the property, the same individually designed interiors running throughout, a private terrace, king bed, marble bathroom and butler service.

Food & Drink
Julian’s
The hotel’s Relais & Châteaux restaurant, named after Fieger’s eldest son and led by Chef Dominique Thevenet, who brings four decades of French culinary experience to a menu built around French-Caribbean cuisine using locally sourced ingredients and daily fresh catches.
The wine list draws on the hotel’s cellar of over 550 vintages, with bottles sourced and labelled exclusively for Quintessence. A champagne room and wine cellar are available for private tastings.
Coral Beach Bar
The hotel’s casual beachfront venue, serving island dishes, cocktails and drinks on the sand at Long Bay throughout the day and into the evening.
Spa & Wellness
The Aidan Spa offers a programme of personalised treatments, massages and beauty services, with products drawn from the natural landscape of Anguilla.
A fitness centre, infinity pool, hot tub and outdoor tennis court complete the wellness offering on site.
