At a glance
Palazzo Avino has been known as the Pink Palace for as long as anyone in Ravello can remember, the name has never felt more fitting. Sitting on a clifftop 350 metres above the Gulf since the twelfth century, it is a hotel that history chose long before luxury travel did.
It was on one of these terraces that Eduardo de Filippo wrote Saturday, Sunday, Monday, one of the most celebrated Italian plays of the twentieth century. The building has been a noble residence, a celebrated gathering point for artists, writers and heads of state, and a hotel in various forms since the 1880s.
The pink facade, the arched colonnades, the terraced gardens and the collection of contemporary art that runs through every corridor and room give Palazzo Avino an identity that is entirely its own. Forty-three rooms and suites dressed in handmade Vietri tiles, Hermes textiles and eighteenth-century antiques sit alongside a Michelin-starred restaurant, the only private beach club in Ravello, a rooftop solarium with an infinity hydropool and a spa whose products are drawn from the surrounding landscape.

Accommodation
Rooms
Each of the 33 rooms at Palazzo Avino has its own distinct character, dressed in handmade Vietri ceramic tiles, Hermès textiles and eighteenth-century Italian antiques, with bed linen by Frette and bathroom amenities by Bulgari running throughout.
Most look directly over the Gulf from a step-out balcony, and the individual works by contemporary artists, including Venetian painter Giuliano Dal Molin, ensure that no two rooms feel quite the same. The hotel’s signature lemon-rose scent carries through every room from the moment you arrive.
Suites
The ten suites carry the same antique-led character as the rooms but with considerably more space, privacy and outlook. Each one has its own configuration and view, with private terraces and balconies overlooking the coastline throughout.
The Infinito Suite occupies the most coveted position in the hotel. Panoramic views across the Gulf, a private terrace, a hot tub and a scale of space that makes it the natural choice for anyone marking an occasion or simply wanting the best room on the Amalfi Coast.

Food & Drink
Rossellinis
The hotel’s Michelin-starred restaurant, serving creative Italian haute cuisine on a panoramic terrace overlooking the coastline. The cooking draws on the finest local produce of the Campanian region, and the setting, candlelit and framed by the Mediterranean below.
Terrazza Maraviglia
The more relaxed of the two venues, serving casual lunches and light dishes through the day before transforming at sunset into the Lobster and Martini Bar. Over 80 cocktail creations, fresh local lobster and one of the most sought-after terraces in Ravello.
Clubhouse by the Sea
The only hotel in Ravello to offer a private beach club. The Clubhouse by the Sea sits at the foot of the mountain with direct access to the Mediterranean, sunbathing platforms, an outdoor pool and a restaurant serving the fresh catch of the day.
Spa & Wellness
The spa sits in the hotel gardens overlooking the Mediterranean, with a hydromassage bath, sauna, Turkish steam bath and dedicated treatment cabins.
The outdoor gym occupies its own corner of the gardens with sea views on all sides. Above the main building, the rooftop solarium houses an infinity hydropool that is, by general agreement, the finest place in Ravello to watch the sun go down.
The 20 metre heated outdoor pool in the gardens completes a wellness offer that covers every preference from early morning laps to late afternoon contemplation.
