Set within the Château de Gilly, steps from the legendary Clos de Vougeot, Les Sources de Vougeot occupies a former residence of the Cîteaux Abbots, a building that has defined this wine-growing landscape for seven centuries. Owned by Alice and Jérôme Tourbier of Les Sources de Caudalie, it carries a deep commitment to terroir, authenticity, and understated elegance.
Rooms marry meticulous restoration with locally sourced antiques and contemporary comfort, the stone walls and original terracotta floors setting the tone. Two restaurants cover the full range, from the gastronomic tasting menus at Le Clos de la Tour to the honest Burgundian cooking of L’Auberge des Cîteaux.
The Spa Caudalie occupies the hotel’s original medieval wine cellar, offering vine-based Vinothérapie treatments at a deliberately slow pace. The Route des Grands Crus, Dijon, and Beaune are all within easy reach.

Accommodation
Le Moulin
A self-contained pavilion set above the La Vouge stream, Le Moulin offers a level of privacy the main château cannot match. Its typically Burgundian architecture, entered through an elegant wrought iron gate, houses up to five guests across a spacious ground-floor living area and a generous duplex bedroom. Exclusive use of a private Nordic bath completes the picture.
Exclusive Suite
The grandest room in the house at 105 square meters, La Vigne Rose commands attention from the moment you enter. A richly decorated coffered ceiling, listed as a Historic Monument, sits above original paintings, frescoes, and herringbone parquet floors. A private bar stocked with cocktails adds to the sense of exclusivity, while the bathroom is designed as a warm, intimate retreat.
Junior Suites & Suites
Spacious and considered, the Junior Suites and Suites add a generous living area to the mix, conceived as a natural extension of the bedroom rather than an afterthought. The result is a genuinely restorative atmosphere, well suited to romantic stays or family travel, with a refined lounge space that encourages slowing down in the heart of Côte de Nuits wine country.
Comfort & Prestige rooms
The entry point into Les Sources de Vougeot, these rooms overlook the château’s gardens and moats and set the tone for the property’s design language. Interiors combine elegant floral wallpapers or soft cream tones with restored terracotta floors, original woodwork, and locally sourced antiques, each detail chosen to reflect the heritage and character of the surrounding Burgundian landscape.

Dining at Les Sources de Vougeot spans three distinct spaces. Le Clos de la Tour is the gastronomic restaurant, where Chef Julien Martin cooks a precise, terroir-driven menu built around the rhythms of the Côte de Nuits. L’Auberge des Cîteaux offers generous, seasonal cooking in a relaxed setting, with a summer terrace overlooking the vineyards. Le Bar du Château, dressed in deep green velvet, completes the picture.
Wellness
The Spa Caudalie at Les Sources de Vougeot occupies the château’s original 14th-century wine cellar, its soaring stone vaults now home to two pools, a sauna, treatment rooms, and a fully equipped fitness room. Vine-based Vinothérapie treatments sit at the heart of the offer, with Caudalie’s signature grape seed rituals delivering antioxidant and anti-aging benefits.
