At a glance
Grand Hotel Tremezzo has held its position on the western shore of Lake Como since 1910, its Liberty-style facade one of the most recognized on the lake, facing directly across the water to Bellagio.
The hotel closes each winter and reopens fully refreshed, a detail that shows in rooms that never feel tired. Seventy-seven rooms and suites are dressed in period antiques, oil paintings, and marble bathrooms, with rooftop categories adding private Jacuzzi terraces and uninterrupted views toward Punta Balbianello and the Grigne mountains. Three pools include the floating water-on-water pool, as recognizable a Lake Como image as the villas themselves.
Dining spans five outlets, from La Terrazza’s fine-dining legacy of Gualtiero Marchesi to Neapolitan pizza by the Flowers Pool.
The T Spa occupies the 18th-century Villa Emilia with original frescoes still intact, and the fitness center fills a second historic building with three floors of lake-view training space.

Accommodation
Full Room and Suite Range
Le Sirenuse’s 58 rooms span from the courtyard-facing entry rooms up to a two-bedroom Grand Suite with three bathrooms on the highest floors. Sea-view categories run through Standard, Superior, Deluxe, and Premium, before reaching Junior Suite, Junior Suite Superior, One Bedroom Suite, and Grand Suite tiers. No two rooms are identical. Floors, terrace configurations, balcony sizes, and interior details vary throughout, with the upper floors and Junior Suite Superior category introducing large indoor bathtubs.
Junior Suite Sea View
At around 43 sqm, the Junior Suite Sea View is a meaningful step up in space, adding a comfortable sitting area alongside the king-size or twin bed configuration. Views take in Positano, the Mediterranean, and the Li Galli islands. The same standard inclusions apply throughout: in-room espresso machine, complimentary minibar, and daily breakfast. Private balcony or terrace access varies by specific room within the category.
Superior Sea View
At 24 to 30 sqm, the Superior Sea View rooms are the entry point into Le Sirenuse’s sea-facing categories, with unimpeded views across Positano to the Mediterranean and the Li Galli islands. French doors open onto a private balcony. King-size or twin beds, espresso machine, and complimentary minibar are standard. Some rooms in this category can accommodate an extra bed on request.
Courtyard Room
Le Sirenuse’s entry-level option at around 22 sqm, the Courtyard Rooms look onto the hotel’s peaceful inner courtyard rather than the sea, trading the views for a quieter, more private atmosphere. Some include a small or French balcony. King-size or twin beds, an in-room espresso machine, and complimentary minibar are standard across all rooms. Breakfast is included. A considered choice for guests who prioritize calm over panorama.

Dining and Drinks
Four venues handle food and drink at Le Sirenuse. La Sponda is the main dining restaurant, a candlelit space drawing on Naples, Vesuvius, and the Amalfi Coast for its culinary direction, with reservations recommended for dinner. The Pool Bar handles daytime and early evening in the most envied setting on the property. Franco’s Bar operates on a first-come basis, with hotel guests given priority, and carries no dress code. Le Sirenuse Mare, the hotel’s beach club in Nerano, runs seasonally and is bookable through the concierge.
Wellness
Le Sirenuse’s wellness offer is built around an Aveda Concept Spa with sauna, granite steam bath, and ice room, a Technogym-equipped gym available to all guests, and a daily activity program covering morning stretches and guided hikes. The hotel runs a twice-yearly fitness retreat with mountain workouts, and the pool, perched above Positano with sea views, functions as much as a social and aesthetic landmark as a place to swim. Spa treatments are bookable in advance, recommended in high season.
