The Mediterranean’s most private and secluded resort is located in the historic walls of an old Napoleonic Fortress. Architect Antonio Obrador seemingly did the impossible when he turned this remote place into such a stunning hotel.
It has been declared a Heritage Asset and listed as a National Monument. You’ll find it in a secluded area of the Bay of Palma. The stunning landscape surrounding Cap Rocat is a Protected Natural Area known for its Posidonia meadows; it’s a Special Protection Area for Birds, making for incredible bird watching.
The rocky hillfort complex won several international awards, such as the Europa Nostra, España Nostra, and the Fortress Study Group. Plenty of stunning resorts get referred to as “havens” but this place really is. If you’re looking for a luxury retreat then Cap Rocat is hard to beat in terms of style, service and privacy.

Accommodation
Suite Cap Rocat
This Suite is full of history with stunning atmospheric arched ceilings and stone flooring. This Suite features a four-poster double bed, a comfortable sofa, and armchairs.
The bathroom offers double basins, a freestanding bathtub, and a walk-in rain shower. Amenities include relaxing salt selection, scented candles, room fragrance, and flowers on arrival.
Suite El Cabo
This magnificent Suite takes its name from the cape where the fortress is located. With interconnecting vaulted ceilings and no separating, doors create a free-flowing space.
This Suite features a canopied bed, a sitting area with two large armchairs, and a sofa.
This Suite offers an enormous bathroom, three terraces at different levels, a private swimming pool, and a gazebo.
Suite del Mar
The Suite del Mar is decorated using fine woods and natural linen fabrics in soft sand and white shades.
Suite del Mar features a four-poster double bed, a sitting area with armchairs, and a desk.
With a private area and a Mediterranean garden, there is also a small overflow pool and a large terrace with hammocks as well as a table and chairs.
Sentinels
Once used as an ancient defensive position and where the cannons were hidden, the Sentinels room is the ultimate hideaway. Your bed is in the centre of the room with breathtaking views of the sea.
The room features marble floors, stone walls and wooden ceilings – really gives this space a one-of-a-kind look.
Each room offers a double bed, two armchairs, a table and a desk. The rooms have two bathrooms offering a shower and a bathtub with mirrored doors filling the room with reflections of the sea.

Food & Drink
La Fortaleza
The hotel’s main restaurant, set in the spectacular former dining hall of the fortress with high vaulted arches and stone ceilings. Led by Chef Víctor García, the menu reinterprets Mallorcan cuisine using avant-garde techniques and the finest local and seasonal produce. The private dining room in the fortress’s former kitchen is also available for wine tastings and cooking classes.
The Sea Club
Sits on the waterfront in the Cala de la Reina cove, an open-air restaurant serving dishes cooked on a traditional Mallorcan wood-fired oven and grill. The menu draws on fresh seafood, local salads and the classic recipes of the island. The natural setting, with the Mediterranean directly in front, makes it one of the more quietly spectacular lunch settings in Mallorca.
Spa & Wellness
The Cap Rocat spa sits 12 metres below ground in the most sheltered part of the fortress, with light entering through an opening in the rock above the indoor saltwater pool.
A hammam, Thai massages, body wraps and facials using organic products sourced from the island complete the treatment menu.
Above ground, the fitness centre offers personal training alongside yoga and pilates classes, with tennis courts on site. The private cliff beach below gives direct access to the sea
