Alila Ubud is a hillside resort of 56 rooms and 18 villas above the Ayung River Valley, in the village of Payangan outside Ubud, Bali.
Designed by architect Kerry Hill, the resort is laid out as a Balinese village, its rooms and villas stepping down the slope toward the river. Ground-floor rooms open onto garden terraces, upper floors onto balconies with daybeds, and the villas add private pools and outdoor tubs.
The 25-meter infinity pool is the resort’s signature, appearing to float at the edge of the ravine. Dining runs through the open-air Plantation Restaurant and the poolside Cabana Lounge, and Spa Alila handles the wellness side, alongside a daily program of yoga, Tai Chi, and Qi Gong.
The resort leans into its setting with Alila’s signature experiences, from rice farming with a local grower to white-water rafting on the Ayung and cycling through Payangan. A free shuttle runs into central Ubud, about 15 minutes away.

Accommodation
Superior
Located in the upper part of the hotel, these rooms have a private balcony which is furnished with a lounger. Enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding hillside. All rooms have an ensuite bathroom and either has one queen-sized bed or two twin singles.
Deluxe
The Deluxe rooms are situated on the ground floor and are perfect if you are looking for an intimate experience. Enjoy your own outdoor terrace area where you can enjoy stunning views of the Ayung River Valley and an open-air bathroom behind the bedroom which has a large bath tub and shower.
Valley Villa
Situated in the prime spot which overlooks the Ayung River Valley, these villas make you feel like you are in and amongst jungle life.
Each villa has a walk-around deck giving you stunning views and the spacious bedroom will make your stay very comfortable. The bedroom is equipped with a king size bed and decorated with modern yet authentic furniture and the ensuite bathroom had an outdoor bathtub.
Pool Villa
Enjoy more space and luxury with a private outdoor swimming pool. There is a terrace area for you to relax in which leads on from the spacious bedroom containing a king size bed. The ensuite bathroom houses a beautiful shower and outdoor bathtub which is set in a lotus pond.
Terrace Tree Villa
Perched on the hillside, these villas have the best views of the sunrise over the Ayung River Valley. With a large outdoor terrace there is no better place to sit back and relax.
Feel at one with nature and immerse yourself in jungle life. Enjoy the spacious bedroom which is equipped with a king size bed. The ensuite bathroom is furnished to an impeccable standard With large glass windows which overlook the valley there are beautiful views wherever you look.

Plantation Restaurant
The culinary team at the Alila Ubud have created a menu which will awaken your taste buds. The Balinese-themed dishes are crafted around seasonal produce and the dishes are prepared using only the freshest ingredients. The restaurant overlooks the valley connects you with the surrounding nature due to the open-walled structure. There is a carefully selected wine list designed to accompany the menu
Cabana Lounge
This sophisticated bar is the perfect place to enjoy an evening cocktail or afternoon beverage. Enjoy some poolside snacks in the shade with friends.
You can also enjoy poolside dining and complimentary Balinese afternoon tea is served at the Cabana Lounge daily for all guests.
Spa
The spa is one of the main highlights of the hotel. It has a special Rainforest Retreat experience which is set in and amongst the jungle. Enjoy the range of treatments on offer, many of which are traditional and use natural herbal remedies. Soak up the tranquil atmosphere and you will leave feeling completely relaxed and rejuvenated.
