STORY Seychelles, formerly Le Méridien Fisherman’s Cove, is a five-star resort on Beau Vallon Beach, on the northwest coast of Mahé.
The resort is a boutique five-star at the quiet end of Beau Vallon, the largest and most popular beach on Mahé and one of the few swimmable all year. It mixes Creole colonial architecture with suites and villas in tropical gardens by the sand, a short walk from the beach bars and restaurants nearby.
Dining is a strength, with several restaurants and bars running from fine dining to relaxed beachfront meals. There is a full-service spa, a 24-hour gym, an outdoor pool, and a tennis court, with a natural reef about 50 meters offshore for snorkeling off the beach.
It works for couples, gay or straight, on a honeymoon as much as for families. Victoria, the capital, is about ten minutes away, and the international airport around 30 minutes by car.

Dining
Dining is one of the resort’s strong points, spread across several restaurants and bars. The range runs from fine dining to easy beachfront meals, with international menus alongside Creole and seafood, and sunset cocktails over the bay. With Beau Vallon’s own restaurants and bars a short walk away, there is plenty of choice on the doorstep too, though most guests find enough variety without leaving the resort.
Wellness
There is a full-service spa with a wide treatment menu, from massages and facials to body wraps and aromatherapy. The fitness side runs to a 24-hour gym, yoga classes, and an outdoor tennis court, with an outdoor pool at the center of the resort. The real wellness draw is the water: Beau Vallon stays calm and swimmable through the year, and a natural reef about 50 meters out makes for easy snorkeling.
