When you arrive at the airport your driver will meet you and transfer you to your boutique hotel. Berlin will then be yours to explore.
Brimming with history, gastronomic delights and wild nightlife, it’s difficult not to fall in love with this city.
Evening at leisure.
This morning you’ll join a guided tour of the city. Berlin is big and there’s a lot to see so having some guidance will help. You’ll tour the Palace of Charlottenburg, Checkpoint Charlie and the Brandenburg Gate.
Walking along the wall you’ll follow the now invisible divide between East and West Berlin. At the Wall Museum you’ll learn about the cities’ recent history. At the huge Holocaust memorial in the centre of the city you’ll see a monument to Germany’s darkest days.
In the evening discover Berlin’s famous nightlife. Explore the gay scene in Schoeneberg and see where the night takes you. As this is Berlin that could be very far indeed!
At the East Side Gallery you can discover some great art in an open-air setting. You can also visit the fascinating GDR museum and catch a glimpse of daily life in the former communist country.
At some point you must try currywurst. It’s a Berlin tradition: you’ll see places selling it on almost every street.
Evening at leisure.
Take a train to Dresden and spend a night in one of Germany’s hidden gems. The baroque architecture is a sight to behold.
Take a flight to Stuttgart. Your driver will meet you and transfer you to your hotel in the Black Forest.
Dine on rustic German food in the evening, including Black Forest Gateaux.
Today your tour guide will show you the wonders of the Black Forest. This is where the cuckoo clock was invented and the setting for many of the Brothers Grimm Fairy Tales.
At the Black Forest National Park you can stroll through Germany’s dark green forests.
Today you’ll be driven to Lake Constance. You’ll be embarking on a Zepplin flight over the Alpine forests. Champagne will be served as you enjoy the panoramic views.
You’ll be visiting Castle Neuschwanstein in Bavaria. It was the home of the wildly eccentric King Ludwig II, known as the Swan King. He was gay royalty and he had the castle to prove it. His home was so decadent and magical it inspired Walt Disney’s conception of the fairy tale prince and his castle.
Enjoy a day at leisure in the beautiful Bavarian surroundings. You can indulge in some spa treatments and enjoy some downtown in the countryside.
Today you’ll transfer to the airport for your return flight.
