At a glance
Opened in 2025 on the largely undeveloped island of South Caicos, Salterra is the first Luxury Collection resort in Turks and Caicos, with 100 oceanfront rooms and suites spread across 3,000 feet of private beachfront, where the salinas that once defined the island’s salt-harvesting economy now frame the view from every balcony.
Interiors draw directly from the landscape, with organic textures, coastal tones and aerial photography of the island’s signature salt ponds above each bed.
All accommodations face the ocean, more than half are butler-serviced suites, and ground-floor categories open directly onto the beach via private lanais fitted with hammocks. In-room amenities run to Frette linens, Byredo bath products from The Luxury Collection’s own Le Chemin range, and filtered water dispensers throughout.
Six dining venues cover everything from a five-course salt-paired tasting menu at Brine to conch ceviche at the beachside Cobo Bar and Grill, while Adventures by Salterra handles a full program of ocean and land experiences built around the island’s genuinely wild ecosystem.
The spa adds eight treatment rooms, a thermal circuit of sauna, steam room and hammam, and two couples’ suites with private lanais.

Accommodation
Rooms
Forty-eight guest rooms form the entry tier, split across Deluxe and Grand Deluxe categories. Deluxe Guest Rooms (around 49 sq m) come with one king or two queen beds and sweeping Caribbean views.
Grand Deluxe rooms step up with elevated higher-floor king options for wider panoramas, while ground-floor queen configurations swap the altitude for private outdoor lanais opening directly onto the beach landscape.
All rooms feature the resort’s full amenity set including Frette linens, Byredo bath products, and double showers with stone mosaic floors and marble benches.
Suites
One-bedroom suites (105 sq m) are the most popular category on the property, offering full living and dining areas, sofa beds and private balconies with floor-to-ceiling windows.
Ground-floor configurations add a private lanai with hammock for the most direct connection to the beach. Superior One-Bedroom Suites sit on higher floors for the widest ocean views, with a dining table for six.
Two-bedroom suites extend to 112 sq m across two bedrooms and two bathrooms, and are well suited to families, with the Superior Two-Bedroom adding vaulted ceilings. A connecting configuration links a two-bedroom suite to an adjoining queen lanai room for a total of three bedrooms across 153 sq m.
Penthouse Suites
Two Governor’s Penthouse Suites occupy the top of the resort at 260 sq m each, with three bedrooms, a full kitchen, wraparound balconies and panoramic ocean views on all sides.
Each comes with dedicated butler service and is designed as a private residence rather than a hotel room. These are the only accommodations at Salterra with a full kitchen, and both include flexible sleeping configurations across the three bedrooms to suit groups or families of up to six guests.
More Information
Brine is the resort’s fine dining centerpiece, open for dinner only and built around a five-course tasting menu that pairs each dish with salts harvested from the salinas directly outside. The kitchen takes its lead from the island’s natural larder, with conch, fresh fish and local produce running through a menu that changes seasonally.
Cobo Bar and Grill sits beachside with a Latin-influenced menu and handcrafted cocktails, and is the more relaxed daytime option for long lunches and sundowners. Regatta takes a British Caribbean direction in a coastal setting, while Sisal handles lobby-level drinks and light bites from midday through late evening.
For something more casual, Flamingo Cafe covers breakfast, gelato, espresso and grab-and-go through the day, and Jack and Jenny’s operates as a poolside food truck with a rotating menu.
Private dining is available throughout the property, and the culinary team can arrange bespoke experiences including beachside and boat dinners for guests wanting something more secluded.
