Day 1: Ho Chi Minh
When you arrive at the airport your driver will meet you and take you to your hotel. Evening at leisure.
Day 2: Ho Chi Minh
This morning you’ll join a guided tour of Ho Chi Minh City’s markets. You’ll see a great diversity of colours and flavours.
You’ll be heading off the tourists trail down the winding streets of the city. You’ll see family run food stalls and sample a lot of Vietnamese cuisine. You won’t want to start the day with a big breakfast.
You’ll visit the colonial quarter and the famous Reunification Hall.
In the evening, set out on a vespa tour and see the city at night.
Day 3: Mekong Delta
This morning you’ll be driving to the Mekong Delta. When you arrive at Ben Tre Province take a boat across the Cai Cam River and visit a coconut processing workshop.
You’ll also visit a famous fruit orchard in the village and eat lunch at Mrs. Mai’s house.
It’ll then be time to drive back to your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 4: Hoi An
Head to Saigon airport and board a 3:30 hour flight to Danang airport. When you’ve checked into your hotel you’ll join a walking tour of Hoi An, an ancient city that’s very well preserved, even after the destruction of the Vietnam War. It’s almost like you step back in time in this city.
You’ll have lunch at Morning Glory in Hoi An’s old town. A range of street foods are served here.
There are many fantastic places to have your evening meal in Hoi An, such as Secret Garden, a restaurant serving classic Vietnamese food.
Day 5: Hoi An
Join an early morning food tour in nearby Tra Que Organic Village. You’ll see the local market and taste delicacies unique to the area.
Then, you’ll be heading the Red Bridge Cooking School. Here you’ll learn how to make a range of classic Vietnamese dishes. You’ll really be able to impress your friends when you get home.
You’ll then have chance to go for a swim and a cruise down Hoi An River.
Day 6: Hoi An - Hanoi
Join a guided tour of Hoi An and discover its rich culture and history, including the Japanese Covered Bridge, built in the 16th-century.
You’ll visit the Cham Museum in Danang and travel onto the picturesque fishing village of Lang Co. Here you’ll dine in a private residence and discover how the Vietnamese eat at home.
Later, you’ll fly to Hanoi from Noi Bai airport.
Day 7: Hanoi
In the morning you’ll join a food blogger for a guided walking tour of Hanoi’s food scene. You’ll gain specialist insights into the diverse street foods unique to Vietnam.
Wear comfortable shoes all there’s a lot to see from the old town to Dong Xuan, Hanoi’s main food market.
You’ll taste cakes on Hang Than Street and specially treated fruits on Hang Cot Street.
Evening at leisure.
Day 8: Hanoi - Halong Bay
In the morning you’ll take an overnight boat to Halong Bay, where you’ll see Vietnamese villagers going about their day in the rice fields.
Lunch and dinner will be served onboard. This cruise will give you the chance to see the varied landscapes of Vietnam.
Day 9: Halong Bay - Hanoi
Sailing back to Hanoi you’ll see odd limestone rock formations and get the chance to partake in a Tai Chi class – if you wake up early enough.
Back at Hanoi your driver will meet you and take you back to the hotel.
Day 10: Departure
A private car will be ready for you. Take a ride back to the airport for your return flight.
