Days 1-2: Arrival and Immersion in Trancoso
Touch down in southern Bahia and ease into your journey with a warm welcome in Trancoso, a village where time feels suspended. Settle into your boutique hotel – we recommend a restored colonial casa or serene beachfront villa – and wander down to the Quadrado, the village’s heart. Dotted with pastel-painted houses and the whitewashed Church of São João Batista, it glows with candlelight and quiet joy in the evenings.
Start slowly. Dip into the warm Atlantic waters at Praia dos Nativos, or enjoy a spa treatment with views of the palms. Dining is delightful: opt for grilled moqueca beneath the stars, accompanied by chilled wine and a peaceful atmosphere. These first two days are your soft landing – calm, romantic and full of charm.
Days 3-4: Secret Beaches and Cultural Soul of Trancoso
