Days 1-5: Kings Camp, Timbavati
Arrive in Hoedspruit and transfer privately to Kings Camp Private Game Lodge, located in the exclusive Timbavati Reserve bordering Kruger National Park. Your home for the next four nights is a luxury suite with a private plunge pool, perfectly positioned for uninterrupted views of the surrounding wilderness.
Twice-daily game drives are led by expert guides and trackers, offering close encounters with lions, elephants, rhinos, and leopards. Optional bush walks bring you even closer to nature, while the lodge itself provides ample opportunity to unwind – this might be with a cocktail by the pool, a treatment at the spa, or a fireside dinner beneath the stars.
Everything is included, from gourmet meals and local wines to airstrip transfers and conservation levies. This is safari done beautifully, with comfort, elegance, and heart.
Day 5-6: Johannesburg
Return to Johannesburg for an overnight stay at the InterContinental Johannesburg O.R. Tambo Airport, just steps from the arrivals terminal. Ideal for relaxation between safari flights, the hotel offers a heated pool, spa, and world-class dining at Quills Restaurant.
Spend the evening at leisure or explore the nearby neighbourhoods of Kempton Park or Sandton if time allows. Your deluxe room offers quiet comfort before your flight to the Kalahari the following day.
Days 6-10: Tswalu Kalahari
Fly via private charter to Tswalu Motse Camp, a remote desert sanctuary in the Kalahari’s southern reaches. Owned by the Oppenheimer family and dedicated to conservation, Tswalu is South Africa’s largest private game reserve.
Stay four nights in a luxurious suite, with your own private guide, tracker, and 4×4 vehicle. Each day is tailored to your interests:
- Track black-maned lions, aardvarks, and desert rhino
