From Venice, the route crosses the Adriatic to Rovinj on Croatia's Istrian coast, staying at the Grand Park Hotel Rovinj. A guided wine tour moves through Istria's vineyards, known as much for truffles as for wine, closing with dinner overlooking the sea at Puntulina.
