Hôtel Martinez opened in 1929 and has been an fixture on the Cannes Croisette ever since, an Art Deco property directly on La Croisette facing the Mediterranean.
It is part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt and remains the largest hotel in Cannes with 410 rooms and suites, following a $70 million renovation that updated every room and added L’Oasis du Martinez, a 2,800 square metre rooftop garden with spa, pool and fitness room to the rear of the building.
During the Cannes Film Festival each May, the hotel serves as the base of operations for a significant portion of the industry, and its connection to the festival runs through the design of its newest spaces.
Cannes is a welcoming destination for LGBTQ+ travellers, and the hotel’s central Croisette position puts the best of the city within easy reach.

Accommodation
Classic and Superior Rooms
The Classic and Superior Rooms are the entry point at Hôtel Martinez, each decorated in Art Deco style by Pierre-Yves Rochon with marble bathrooms, air conditioning and Nespresso machines.
Superior Rooms are larger and many have private terraces overlooking La Croisette or the sea.
Junior Suites
The Junior Suites at 45 to 50 square metres add a private terrace and a rain shower to the room formula.
The Junior Suite King has city views over Cannes. The Junior Suite with Terrace has a private terrace and sea views.
Garden Suites
The sixteen Garden Suites overlook L’Oasis du Martinez, the rooftop garden at the rear of the hotel.
Each has an expansive private terrace and access to the garden below, making them well suited to guests who want outdoor space without a sea-facing position.
Suite des Oliviers
The Suite des Oliviers sleeps up to three and has a separate bedroom, a living and dining room and a large private terrace with loungers, sofas and a dining table.
It is the most practical configuration for small families or guests who want space for entertaining.
Penthouse Apartments
The two Penthouse Apartments each span 1,250 square metres and are among the largest hotel suites in Europe, designed by Pierre-Yves Rochon as tributes to cinema icons Isabelle Huppert and Thierry Frémaux, director of the Cannes Film Festival.
Each has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a dining room, a sauna and a terrace with a Jacuzzi looking out over the Bay of Cannes.
