Kasbah Tamadot is a luxury hotel in Morocco’s Atlas Mountains. It was purchased by Richard Branson as he embarked on one of his ballooning adventures. There are 28 rooms and suites decorated with antiques from all over the world. In 2017, the Kasbah Tamadot was voted as the best hotel in North Africa and the Middle East at the Travel + Leisure Awards.

Unfortunately, Morocco criminalises same-sex sexual activity between men and between women. LGBTQ+ individuals are also urged to practice discretion and avoid public displays of affection. While the climate is gradually becoming more accepting, especially in cosmopolitan cities, there have been sporadic crackdowns and arrests in recent years.
Overall, Morocco lacks progressiveness on LGBTQ+ rights compared to other destinations, though luxury hospitality businesses make efforts to welcome gay travelers. At Out Of Office, we only work with resorts and hotels that we know are inclusive and welcoming.
Accommodation
There are three Superior Rooms. One overlooks the interior courtyard and the other overlooks the courtyard at the front. There is a third Superior Room within the Master Suite that can be booked separately.
There are seven Deluxe Rooms, each with a terrace and balcony. They also come with a private garden, pool and mountain view. One of the Deluxe Rooms connects with the Deluxe Suite.
There are four Superior Suites – they are larger than the Deluxe Rooms. They come with a separate sitting area. The layout is open plan and the decor is very colourful and charming.
The Deluxe Suites is decked out in classic Moroccan interiors. The colours are rich but not too over the top – a classic feature of Moroccan design. These rooms have open-plan sitting areas and prime views of the Atlas Mountain.
There are ten Berber Tents. An ideal choice if you’re looking for something a little bit different. Each tent has a private deck with sun loungers, outdoor dining space and a jacuzzi. Each suite has a king sized bed and rolltop bath. This is an ideal setting for a romantic vacation in Morocco.
The Master Suite is a miniature version of the Kasbah. It had three rooms which are usually booked together. You’ll have a spacious terrace, a private pool and a much larger roof terrace on the upper floor. The Master Suite is very spacious so it’s perfect for a larger group or a very special occasion.
