Day 1: Arrival in Tromsø
A private transfer from the airport into the city, settling you into your hotel.
The rest of the day is left open for a first look at Tromsø and, conditions allowing, an early glimpse of the Northern Lights on foot.
Day 2: Sami Culture and the Husky Camp
A private guide introduces you to Sami culture, the traditions, dress, and way of life built around reindeer herding and this Arctic landscape long before Tromsø became a destination in its own right.
In the evening, an excursion out to the Tromsø Wilderness Center puts you among several hundred huskies and their puppies for a dedicated four-hour Northern Lights hunt, with an open vantage point at the Aurora Camp and a heated shelter nearby for warming up between sightings.
Day 3: Dog Sledding Through the Vass Valley
After breakfast, a hands-on introduction to dog sledding starts with meeting your team and learning the basics of harnessing and handling before you take the reins yourself.
The route runs through the snow-covered valley of Vass, driving in pairs with the chance to switch between musher and passenger partway through, the huskies’ pace and enthusiasm setting the rhythm of the day far more than any engine could.
