Torel Palace consists of two historic palaces and a mansion that are adjacent to each other with a courtyard running between.
It once stood a typical Lisbon townhouse, dating back to 1904. Joao together with his partners decided to renovate it. After three months of restoration works and preparation, the mansion was shining in new splendor and the Torel Palace was born.
This tranquil haven offers a range of accommodations with bedrooms named after the Kings and Queens of Portugal, with a history of the relevant monarch next to your bedside. Jaw-dropping views of the city and the river can be appreciated from the terrace and pool, and the hotel feels like a real retreat from the big city despite being a short walk from Lisbon’s sights and attractions.

Torel Palace Restaurant - Cave 23
Cave 23 has a 20-seat dining room in one of the most charming basements in Lisbon, serving tasting menus only along with a wine list. The list is full of natural wines made by lesser-known Portuguese producers.
With an original take on modern Portuguese cuisine, the talented young chef Bernado Agrela attracts people from all over Lisbon to visit Cave 23. They have sophisticated indoor dining – when the sun is shining the tables and chairs on the terrace are highly in demand.
Whatever your preferred tipple, you cannot miss the terrace at Cave 23 especially at sundown where the sky turns pink and orange and the city lights glimmer below.
