After time in Lion Sands, you’ll also visit the majestic Victoria Falls where you’ll cruise down the Zambezi River and stay in 5-star accommodation. One of the highlights of this trip will be a 25-minute helicopter ride over Victoria Falls.
After the excitement of exploring the South African bush, you’ll then head to Cape Town, visit Signal Hill and taste South Africa’s finest at the Cape Winelands. Later on you’ll get the chance to participate in a tour of the Cape Peninsula, including the Cape Of Good Hope. This is a luxury trip: you’ll be staying in the best hotels and enjoying the highest standard of service throughout. An Out Of Office group trip is the ideal way for solo explorers to travel the world and make unforgettable memories.
Homosexuality is regarded as a complex issue in much of Africa, but in South Africa it’s far easier. South Africa is the unofficial gay capital of Africa and you’ll find Africa’s biggest LGBTQ+ community in Cape Town.
Depending on what time your flight lands in Johannesburg, you’ll either spend a night in town or fly direct from Johannesburg to Victoria Falls. When you arrive in Victoria Falls you’ll go for a helicopter flight over the falls and a walking tour. Dinner and overnight accommodation will be enjoyed in Victoria Falls.
This morning you can opt for a number of exhilarating optional tours, including a canopy tour, zip lining or, if you dare, the gorge swing. After lunch at the Lookout Cafe you’re free to explore at your own pace. Tonight you’ll be hopping on-board a luxury all-inclusive cruise along the Zambezi River.
You’ll transfer to Livingstone Airport in Zambia and fly to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport, Nelspruit. The driver will meet you and transfer you to the lodge. After the first game drive, you’ll have a welcome dinner at the lodge. All meals and drinks at the Lion Sands are included.
Wake up bright and early for coffee and a sunrise game drive. Back at the lodge you’ll have a buffet breakfast and then you’ll go for a guided walking safari. After a late lunch, it’ll be time to pursue the Big 5 on an afternoon game drive. The group will then reflect on sightings over a dinner paired with a selection of local wines.
You’ll go for a morning safari after breakfast- be sure to ask your guide about the Small 5. Load up on breakfast back at the lodge and then feel free to unwind by the pool and indulge in some spa treatments. After an afternoon siesta, you’ll then head out for a sunset game drive.
On your last day at the luxurious Lion Sands River Lodge, you can head out for a final game drive and keep an eye out for any of the Big 5 you may have missed. You’ll have a festive farewell dinner in the evening.
Today you’ll fly to Cape Town. When you arrive at the capital, your guide will meet you and take you up to Signal Hill. Here you’ll be greeted with panoramic views of the city. You’ll check into a luxury hotel on the V&A Waterfront – the swankiest district in Cape Town.
When you’ve settled into the hotel you’ll take a coach to the Green Point neighborhood. After some interactive drumming, you’ll dine on classic South African cuisine accompanied by local cultural entertainment.
Today you’ll go for a full-day tour of the Cape Peninsula and visit the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, Boulders Beach, and Simons Town. Spend an evening at leisure to enjoy Cape Town’s bustling nightlife.
Wine lovers rejoice! Today you’ll be heading to South Africa’s fabled Winelands to sample some of the finest wines known to man. The main wine-producing areas are Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. Two wine tastings and a lush picnic lunch at Warwick Wine Estate are included. Explore the local area at your own pace and then enjoy another evening in Cape Town.
It’s your last full day in Cape Town. Enjoy a day at leisure and explore at your own pace. You can choose from a number of optional add-ons, including a Robben Island tour or a Table Mountain tour. You’ll have a farewell dinner at De Grendel estate.
Your South African safari adventure draws to a close. You’ll be transferred to the airport for your return flight.
