The Standard, Huruvalhi Maldives is located on its own island. It’s the first Standard resort to open in Asia. Many of the Maldives’ finest luxury hotels are designed for romance and relaxation. While you can find those things in abundance at The Standard, it has a more lively atmosphere than most Maldivian hotels. DJs play by the pool and you’ll find a glass dancefloor by the bar.
With lightly accented colours and clean lines, the decor is modern and very chic. There are 115 villas. What’s more, each bathroom comes with its own disco ball.

Despite having problematic laws concerning LGBTQ+ rights, the Maldives is one of Out Of Office’s most popular destinations. Due to the geography of the Maldives, each island is essentially run by the resort that occupies it. We work with an incredible selection of resorts, many of which have LGBTQ+ management, that are welcoming to the LGBTQ+ community.
Accommodation
The Lagoon Overwater Villas are 110 square meters. Each overwater villa comes with a king bed, one daybed, private deck with direct lagoon access and plunge pool.
You can also upgrade to a Two-Bedroom Lagoon Overwater Villa.
Located right by the house reef, the Ocean Overwater Villas are great if you love snorkeling. Each one has a king-sized bed, daybed, a private deck with plunge pool, rain shower, semi open-air bathroom and a mini bar.
At a spacious 137 square meters, the Lagoon Beach Villa offers excellent views of the white sand beach. It comes with a king-sized bed, a daybed, private deck, plunge pool, open-air bathroom with a giant bathtub and double vanity sinks.
You can also opt for the Ocean Beach Villa.
At 221 square meters, The Standard Residence is the grandest property at the resort. A glass floor entryway welcomes you to the villa. It has a living room with bar counter and dining room table. You’ll have a private deck with 4 sun loungers, an infinity plunge pool and a hammock. Ideal for larger groups or special occasions.

Food And Drink
Breakfast is comprised of a buffet including classic Maldivian cuisine, curries and classic European offerings. The BBQ Shak is good for meats and seafood. Gadugua servers a range of Maldivian classic by local chefs.
