Passport gender markers, name changes, security screening, and visa requirements are the part of trans travel that often gets oversold as a source of anxiety. In practice, most of it is straightforward once you know what to look for, and a lot of it we handle for you.
When you enquire, we’ll talk through the destinations you’re considering, flag any documentation matters worth being aware of, and brief the hotel and ground operators in advance where it adds value. If your passport name or gender marker doesn’t fully match your current presentation, that’s a conversation we can have privately and plan around. Hormones and Medication
Travel with prescription hormones and related medication is well-trodden ground for our clients, and there are a few simple principles that make it easier. Original packaging, prescriptions or a doctor’s letter for longer trips, carry-on rather than checked luggage. For trips longer than a month or routes through more restrictive countries, we’ll work through the specifics with you and our local partners.
If you’re concerned about access to healthcare at your destination, we’ll factor that into our hotel and location recommendations and identify the nearest clinics or pharmacies that can support trans patients. This is the kind of background work a generalist operator won’t think to do.
The Hotels We Book
A luxury trip lives or dies by the hotel, and trans clients deserve the same level of care any other guest gets. Every property we recommend has been vetted, most through direct client feedback, and we know which reservations teams brief well in advance, which villa categories suit couples wanting privacy, and which front desks treat every check-in as entirely unremarkable.
For trans clients in particular, we’ll often have a private conversation with the hotel’s GM or reservations manager before arrival. The level of detail in that briefing is entirely up to you.
