There are 166 rooms and suites. The style is sober and restrained. Think pale blue and white, muslin curtains, marble bathroom, wraparound windows and private balconies. Waking up to the sound of the sea and stunning views of the Akamas is very satisfying.

Of the four restaurants at the hotel, Basiliko is the highlight. It serves Mediterranean and Asian fusion cuisine. The decor is almost entirely white. It’s a great spot for a romantic candlelit dinner – all the tables are candlelit. Enjoy French food a la carte at Helios restaurant. Pelagos is designed like a classic Greek taverna. You can have a Cypriot buffet breakfast at the Amphora. There are also four bars, including a beach bar and a swim-up bar.
Spa
The Thalassa Spa is set in stunning, Romanesque surroundings. It’s one of the finest spas in the Mediterranean. You can choose from a range of treatments, including seawater therapies, thalassotherapy, facials, massages and more. There are also tennis courts, multiple pools and a gym.
Cyprus
Many cultural and culinary traditions have influenced Cyprus. It’s the native home of halloumi and the legendary birthplace of Aphrodite. It’s also a major wine producing island. There are many historical buildings to explore, such as the 12th century BC temple honouring Aphrodite, Byzantine churches and remnants of the Venetian empire. The Greeks began to arrive in Cyprus in around 1200 BC.
