Dublin carries a different kind of weight. This is a capital shaped as much by its writers as by its politics, home to Trinity College's Long Room and the Book of Kells, the footsteps of Joyce and Wilde through its cobbled streets, and a pub culture that treats conversation as seriously as the pint in front of it.
Beyond the literary landmarks, Dublin's evenings run late and loud, whether that means a session of live music in a century-old pub or a night spent working through the city's traditional whiskeys one bar at a time.
Between the two cities, this trip also takes in the dramatic coastline north of Belfast, where basalt columns and rope bridges give the Antrim Coast its own reputation entirely apart from either capital.

Day 1: Belfast
After checking into your centrally located hotel, a private orientation tour introduces you to the city, beginning at the harbor where the Titanic was built.
Titanic Belfast traces the ship’s construction and its doomed maiden voyage in detail, and a walk aboard the SS Nomadic, the last surviving White Star Line vessel, is as close as anyone can now come to boarding the Titanic itself.
Day 2: Belfast
The morning takes you to a local oyster farm for a tasting of freshly prepared seafood straight from the water.
In the afternoon, a private driving tour of the city covers Belfast’s troubled political history alongside its cultural and economic rebirth, taking in the murals, peace walls, and regenerated docklands that tell that story in full.
Day 3: Belfast
A full day north along the Antrim Coast, a stretch of coastline that found new fame as a filming location for a hit fantasy series.
Walk the hexagonal basalt columns of the Giant’s Causeway, and if you are feeling bold, cross the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge, suspended nearly a hundred feet above the water.
The day closes with dinner at a Michelin-starred restaurant, a fitting send-off before Belfast gives way to Dublin.
Day 4: Dublin
A morning train south carries you into Dublin, where a private driver meets you and transfers you to your centrally located hotel.
The afternoon is given over to St Patrick’s Cathedral, founded in 1191, whose 43-meter spire still makes it the tallest cathedral in Ireland.
Day 5: Dublin
Kilmainham Gaol tells the story of the Irish Civil War and the rebellion that shaped the Republic, with its stone corridors and cells left largely as they were.
A private guide continues the story afterward on the Rebellion Walking Trail, tracing the same ground through the streets of the city itself.
Day 6: Dublin
Literary travelers will not want to miss the James Joyce Tour, following in the footsteps of Leopold Bloom through Dublin, as captured in Ulysses, matching the novel’s streets and pubs against what remains of them today.
As this is Dublin, the evening calls for a proper pub tour and a pint of real Guinness, along with a lesson in what the locals mean when they ask what the ‘craic’ is.
Day 7: Dublin
Dublin Castle, built in 1204, served as the seat of English rule in Ireland for more than eight hundred years and now houses a series of museums, most of them free to enter.
Close the day at Trinity College with the Book of Kells exhibition, widely considered the greatest surviving medieval manuscript anywhere in the world.
