Once you have arrived you will be met by representatives of the tour and taken on your first game drive around the park. Tarangire National Park is one of the most diverse places in Africa in terms of the wildlife that resides here, the plants and vegetation and the landscapes. The park has the largest concentration of wildlife outside of the Serengeti and on your game drive you are likely to be able to spot herds of elephants, zebras, buffalo, gazelle, hartebeest and more. At the end of your game drive, you will arrive at the luxurious Tarangire Treetops where the rooms are built high on stilts into the trees giving the most fabulous views of the sunsets.

You’ll enjoy breakfast in the morning before travelling to a traditional Massai village where you’ll interact with the locals, learn about their way of life and get an insight into what it is like to live here. After this you’ll enjoy a walking safari to get more up close and personal with the wild. Follow the animal tracks, learn about the vegetation and discover more about the indigenous people that live here. Following the tour you’ll enjoy cocktails and dinner on Sunset Hill before embarking on a night game drive to see how the park comes alive when the sun goes down and the nocturnal wildlife comes out to play.

Once you have had lunch you will be transferred to Manyara Airstrip where you will catch a short flight to the Serengeti. You will stay at either the Serengeti Migration Camp or the Serengeti Pioneer Camp (decided before arrival), both of which are top-end, luxury tented lodges – perfect bases for a visit to the Serengeti.
