Day by day
This is a sample plan, not a fixed departure. Days can be added, removed or reordered, and almost every client changes something. Prices are an entry-level guide; your quote will be exact.
Day 1: Phnom Penh
You will be greeted at the airport by your representative and accompanied to the hotel.
Despite its recent turbulent history, this is one of the most stunning cities in Asia. It has retained its old world charm but is also a bustling, modern metropolis. The streets are lined with wild trees, and a countless number of tuk-tuks zoom around. You’ll see a unique fusion of Western culture merging with Asian tradition.
You’ll have some free time to relax and freshen up after your flight. In the evening enjoy a welcome dinner at the stunning Malis Restaurant, one the best Khmer restaurants in the capital.
Day 2: Phnom Penh
After breakfast, you’ll visit the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek to reflect on Cambodia’s harrowing recent history under the Khmer Rouge, which ended in 1979. From there, you’ll travel to Stung Meanchey to visit Pour un Sourire d’Enfant, a life-changing organization supporting underprivileged children through education and job training.
Enjoy lunch at their training restaurant, Le Lotus Blanc. In the afternoon, explore Phnom Penh by Cyclo, stopping at the Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda, and Wat Phnom. End your day with sunset cocktails at the iconic riverside Foreign Correspondents’ Club — a perfect close to a moving day.
Day 3: Phnom Penh
After breakfast, embark on a private riverboat tour along the Tonle Sap River. It’s rarely visited by other tourists as it’s only accessible by boat. On this tour you’ll pass many floating villages and fishing stations. The riverside is dotted with pagodas, mosques, Chinese temples and local villages. At the village of Koh Chen, the main trade is silver and copper. You’ll see how they create ornamental items used in traditional weddings. A delicious local lunch will be served on board the boat, and afterward you’ll return to Phnom Penh.
Day 4: Phnom Penh to Siem Reap
Start the day with an early breakfast and then you’ll be transferred to Siem Reap (this usually takes around 7 hours). Siem Reap is famous for its majestic temples of Angkor.
Upon arrival, check into your hotel and freshen up. It’ll then be time to set out on your adventure.
You’ll be led to the Angkor National Museum. Here you’ll see artefacts from the Golden Era of the Khmer Empire by the use of multimedia technology. This brilliant period of history will be brought to life before your eyes.
Day 5: Siem Reap
Begin your day at the Rolous Group, home to the earliest Angkor temples and the ancient Khmer capital of Hariharalaya. Surrounded by serene countryside, you’ll explore the temples of Bakong, Lolei, and Preah Ko before receiving a private blessing from monks at Rolous Pagoda — a truly moving moment.
After a midday break and lunch at your hotel, continue to Angkor Thom, the final city of the Khmer Empire. Enter through the dramatic south gate, flanked by rows of gods and demons. Then visit Bayon Temple, famed for its 54 serene stone faces — each one watching over a lost empire.
Day 6: Siem Reap
After breakfast, set off by tuk-tuk to explore Ta Prohm, where towering trees and jungle vines intertwine with ancient stone ruins — a hauntingly beautiful site featured in Tomb Raider. Continue to Banteay Kdei, a serene 12th-century Buddhist monastery, and nearby Srah Srang, once used for royal bathing rituals.
Return to your hotel for a midday break and lunch. In the afternoon, experience the awe of Angkor Wat, where intricate carvings and towering spires reflect the grandeur of the Khmer Empire. Your journey concludes with a farewell dinner and enchanting Apsara dance performance — a magical end to your time in Cambodia.
Day 7: Departure
Today it’s time to say farewell to Cambodia. Depending on when your flights are scheduled, a driver will pick you up from the hotel and drop you off at the airport.
Stellar service. Stellar products. Stellar people and it gets so much better when you pick up the phone and call.
