At a glance
A design-led hotel on the edge of Piteå, on the stretch of coast Swedes call the Riviera of the North. Hotel Kust holds 43 rooms and four suites across fourteen floors, shaped by the river it sits beside and the light that defines this part of Sweden.
This is the polished, urban counterpoint to a Lapland stay. Where the lodges further north put you on the ice, Kust gives you a sky bar, a serious spa, and a base from which to step in and out of the Arctic. It is the highest building in northern Sweden, and on a clear winter night, you can watch the Aurora Borealis from the bar on the fourteenth floor.
In summer, the midnight sun keeps the coastline lit for almost the whole day. In winter, Piteå sits under one of the best skies in Europe for the Northern Lights, and the surrounding archipelago freezes hard enough to walk on.

Accommodation
Accommodation
Double Rooms | 21 to 26 square metres
Calm, river-toned spaces with floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the Norrland coastline. Each room comes with a generous workspace, minibar and coffee machine, and the bedding is made for guests who want to fall asleep watching the light shift across the sea. Eight of the doubles are fully accessible.
Deluxe Rooms | 28 to 30 square metres
A step up in scale and softness. Wider 140cm beds, a curated pillow menu, and the kind of extra space that turns a good night’s sleep into a slow morning. Ideal for couples who want to settle in for a few days rather than pass through.
Suites | 55 to 60 square metres
The most generous rooms in the hotel, with a separate bedroom and a living area that catches the light from two sides. There are only four of them. They suit families travelling together, or guests who want to make the hotel the centre of their Lapland stay rather than a base between excursions.
