Bora Bora Snorkeling & Reef Trip

14 days From $12,160 pp

At a glance

? Don't forget that all of our itineraries are totally customized and so this is just an idea of what we can build for you.

Your journey begins on Mo’orea, where a turquoise lagoon shelters black tip reef sharks, turtles, and stingrays within easy reach of the shore.

From there, you continue to Bora Bora, where Mount Otemanu rises over a lagoon best seen from a private catamaran, glass of champagne in hand.

The route continues to Rangiroa, the second-largest atoll on Earth, where the pink-tinged sands of Vahituri catch the afternoon light.

You end on Tikehau, a near-perfect ring of coral where lionfish, clownfish, and manta rays move through some of the clearest water in the Pacific.

Fourteen days, four distinct ecosystems, and a single thread running through them: some of the finest diving and snorkeling anywhere in the world.

As with every Out Of Office itinerary, the pace and detail of this trip are yours to shape. What follows is a starting point, not a fixed script.

In detail

? Don't forget that most of our itineraries can be totally customized. Our expert team will be able to talk you through all the options.

Day 1 - 4: Moorea

Mountains rise straight from turquoise water here, and the lagoon that wraps the island’s northern coast is one of the most biodiverse in French Polynesia. Black tip reef sharks patrol the shallows in numbers, sea turtles graze on the reef beds, and stingrays glide close enough to the surface to watch without a mask. It is quieter and less visited than Bora Bora, which is precisely what makes the diving here feel undiscovered.

A morning snorkeling tour through the lagoon is the highlight most guests return for, though Mo’orea rewards slower exploration too: a hike into the interior for views over Cook’s and Opunohu Bays, or simply time on the sand between dives. Four nights is enough to properly settle into the island without rushing it.

Day 1 - 4: Moorea

Day 4 - 7: Bora Bora

Bora Bora needs little introduction, but it earns its reputation on the water rather than from the postcards. Mount Otemanu dominates the skyline from almost every angle, and the lagoon beneath it shifts through a spectrum of blue that photographs consistently undersell. We’d steer you toward a private lagoon cruise by 40-foot catamaran: fresh fruit, champagne, and an afternoon spent circling the island’s most striking stretch of water with no fixed itinerary beyond where the light looks best.

Beneath the surface, the lagoon supports coral gardens and reef life that reward even a short snorkel, though most guests find three nights is exactly enough time to also do very little at all.

Day 4 - 7: Bora Bora

Day 7 - 11: Rangiroa

Rangiroa is the second-largest atoll on Earth, a near-unbroken ring of coral enclosing 240 islets and more than 100 channels. The scale of it changes how the diving feels: currents move through the passes with real force, drawing dolphins, grey reef sharks, and schools of barracuda into open water that few other atolls can match.

The Pink Sands of Vahituri are worth the detour on their own. Coral fragments give the beach its color, most vivid in the low afternoon light, and the walk out to reach it sees far fewer visitors than the main lagoon.

Day 7 - 11: Rangiroa

Day 11 - 14: Tikehau

Tikehau sits west of Rangiroa in the Tuamotu Archipelago, its coral ring nearly closed and its lagoon correspondingly calm. That enclosure is what draws the marine life: lionfish, clownfish, manta rays, and reef sharks move through water so clear and current-free that even inexperienced divers find the conditions forgiving.

The islets ringing the atoll carry a fringe of white and pale pink sand, and most of the lodges here run their own guided dives and naturalist-led reef tours, so the diving rarely requires leaving the property to arrange.

Day 11 - 14: Tikehau
