At a glance
Few journeys move from wilderness to stillness as completely as this one, pairing three days of safari in South Africa with six days of quiet beside the Indian Ocean.
This adventure begins with a three-day safari at Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve, set beside the legendary Kruger National Park in South Africa. Here, the chance to spot the Big Five—leopard, lion, buffalo, African elephant, and rhinoceros—becomes a vivid reality set against breathtaking landscapes. Beyond these five, the reserve is home to cheetahs, wild dogs, and more than two hundred species of indigenous wildlife, all coexisting within this vast, untouched wilderness.

After the exhilaration of the safari, the journey shifts entirely into six days of serene relaxation in the tropical paradise of Mauritius.
Your retreat is Constance Le Prince Maurice, a sanctuary of tranquil indulgence where pristine white sand stretches to the horizon and beachside villas offer a private escape into paradise. Days can be spent on pampering spa treatments, dining on dishes prepared by exceptional chefs, or exploring the island's striking natural spots, including Le Morne, the Chamarel Seven Colored Earth Geopark, and Black River Gorges National Park.
Mauritius has also made real progress for LGBTQ+ travelers in recent years, decriminalizing same-sex relationships in 2023, making this pairing a particularly welcoming choice for LGBTQ+ couples seeking both adventure and relaxation in a single trip.
This journey offers a seamless blend of thrilling adventure and peaceful relaxation and can be fully customized to suit every traveler's pace and interests.

Days 1-3: Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve, South Africa
Upon arrival in Johannesburg, a short flight takes you to Sabi Sabi, where a private transfer delivers you to Bush Lodge and the Mandleve Presidential Suite, complete with its own private plunge pool.
For the next three nights, mornings and evenings belong to open-vehicle safari drives, with a walking safari also included alongside every meal and a house selection of beverages.
The chance to spot the Big Five—leopard, lion, buffalo, African elephant, and rhinoceros—becomes a vivid reality here, set against landscapes that shift from open grassland to dense riverine bush. Beyond the five, the reserve is home to cheetahs, wild dogs, and more than two hundred species of indigenous wildlife, all coexisting within this untouched wilderness.
Bush Lodge itself carries more than thirty-five years of history and has earned its reputation as one of the most luxurious properties in the region.
Between drives, the Amani Spa offers a distinctly African take on relaxation: holistic body and skin rituals and rejuvenating massages designed to unwind the spirit against a backdrop of birdsong and bush silence.
Days 4-9: Constance Le Prince Maurice, Mauritius
Arrival in Mauritius brings an immediate shift in pace. A private driver delivers you to Constance Le Prince Maurice, a romantic hideaway set among lush tropical greenery, where an incredible infinity pool and an inherent sense of tranquility set the tone for the six nights ahead.
Your Junior Suite is elegantly decorated in spice tones, softened by ecological thatch roofing and warm, welcoming flooring, with half-board included throughout the stay. For a touch more indulgence, an upgrade to one of the property’s Junior Suites on Stilts is available on request.
Days can be shaped entirely around personal pace: mornings spent exploring Le Morne, the Chamarel Seven Colored Earth Geopark, or Black River Gorges National Park, and afternoons given over to nothing more demanding than the beach outside the door.
Mauritius has also made real progress for LGBTQ+ travelers in recent years, decriminalizing same-sex relationships in 2023, a welcome backdrop for couples closing out a journey that began in the wild and ends in stillness.
Our Experts
There's no better way to appreciate the natural world than by taking part in a South African safari. You'll have the chance to see the Big Five whilst never compromising when it comes to luxury.
The cosmopolitan hub of Cape Town is often overlooked as a fantastic travel destination. It has a palpably vibrant character and a flourishing food scene. I'd recommend it to anyone wanting to experience something completely different.
Stellar service. Stellar products. Stellar people and it gets so much better when you pick up the phone and call.
