This itinerary is built entirely around one island, with time to escape, explore, and immerse yourself in life on Mauritius.
Where several of our Mauritius itineraries pair the island with a South African safari, this one stays put, giving guests nine full days to explore a single destination properly rather than fitting it around a longer, more demanding journey.
The stay is split between two contrasting properties on opposite sides of the island, chosen specifically so that the second half feels genuinely different from the first rather than simply more of the same.
The first stretch unfolds at Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita on the east coast, a resort built around an active, social pace.
The second half moves to Constance Le Prince Maurice, a quieter, more secluded property further along the same coastline.

Days 1-5: Four Seasons Resort
Arrival brings a private transfer to Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita, set along a stretch of the island’s east coast known for its calm, lagoon-sheltered waters. The resort’s scale gives guests genuine choice: an eighteen-hole golf course designed by Ernie Els, a full range of water sports across the sheltered lagoon, and a spa built around both Mauritian and international treatments.
Days can move as quickly or as slowly as guests like. Mornings might mean a round of golf or a kayak out across the lagoon, while afternoons settle into the resort’s private beach or one of its multiple pools. A half-day catamaran trip out to the Ile aux Cerfs, a small island just off the coast known for its own stretch of pristine beach, makes for a natural change of scene partway through the stay, along with the chance to snorkel over a nearby coral reef.
Evenings rotate through several on-site restaurants, from a beachfront grill to a more formal dining room, with the option to arrange a private table on the sand for a quieter night.
Days 6-9: Constance Le Prince Maurice
A short transfer further up the east coast delivers guests to Constance Le Prince Maurice, a noticeably more secluded property built around beachside villas rather than a single large hotel block. The pace here shifts deliberately: fewer organized activities, more private space, and a setting designed around doing very little beyond enjoying it.
The final days can be spent exploring the island’s natural landmarks, including Le Morne, the Chamarel Seven Colored Earth Geopark, and Black River Gorges National Park, each within reach of a half-day excursion, or simply staying close to the resort’s own stretch of beach and infinity pool. Spa treatments here draw on the same beachside stillness as the setting itself, with several open-air treatment spaces positioned to catch the sea breeze.
The stay closes with a final sunset dinner on the beach, a quiet end to nine days spent entirely within one of the Indian Ocean’s most complete island destinations.
