The Amalfi Coast is one of the most beautiful parts of Italy. We’ll begin in the scenic coastal town of Sorrento overlooking the Bay of Naples. From here, we’ll make our way to the island of Capri, famed for its stunning beaches, fashion boutiques and swanky hotels. There are many cultural attractions to explore in Capri, including ancient Roman ruins. Our trip will draw to a close in Naples, a striking seaside city with a lively gay nightlife. (11/09/2022 departure is an under 50s trip).

LGBTQ+ Italians enjoy a host of equality and anti-discrimination laws. However, same-sex couples are not able to adopt children together, and the country recently elected an anti-LGBTQ+ government. Italy is a very religious country, but the major cities are all home to vibrant gay scenes.

In detail
Day 1: Sorrento
When you arrive at the airport you’ll be transferred to our hotel. We’ll have a welcome dinner in the evening and discuss the adventures we have planned for you.
Day 2: Capri
Today we’ll sail to Capri onboard a hydrofoil. Capri has long been a hotspot for gay people in Europe. We’ll go for a boat tour and take a dip in the bay. After lunch, we’ll go for a stroll around Capri. This will be a fine setting for an evening drink before we sail back to Sorrento.

Day 3: Amalfi and Positano
We’ll transfer to Positano in the morning and explore its little alleyways and beach. It’ll then be time to sail down the Amalfi coastline to Amalfi itself. You can explore this charming coastal town at your own pace. Transfer back to Sorrento in the evening.

Day 4: Sorrento
Enjoy a day at leisure in Sorrento. Your hosts will be around to offer recommendations.

Day 5: Sorrento To Naples
Transfer to Naples in the morning. We’ll go for an afternoon tour of the city. Dinner is included in the evening – we’ll be having classic Italian pizza. After all, Italian pizza has been granted UNESCO world heritage status!

Day 6: Naples
Our tour guide will show us the major sites, including Via Toledo to Piazza Plebiscito and Castel dell’Ovo, a seaside castle of ancient origins. You’ll be greeted with excellent views of Mount Vesuvius.
In the afternoon, you can join an optional visit to one of the Phlegraean Islands, Procida.
Day 7: Naples
Today we’ll visit the landmarks of Old Town Naples, including the Spanish Quarter and the Spaccanapoli. You’ll see a lot of street art in this area and noteworthy churches.
You can also explore the piazza, Piazza Bellini. We’ll have a farewell dinner in Spaccanapoli. You’ll try the best south-Italian food. We’ll also have some drinks around Piazza Bellini and explore the city’s gay nightlife.

Day 8: Departure
After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your return flight.
